MISS Expands Portfolio into Lititz, PA
Locally owned and operated Moove In Self Storage has expanded their portfolio into the Lititz, PA market. They have acquired Trans-Am Self Storage, located on Route 501 (Lititz Pike) on the south end Lititz, which is in Warwick Township, Lancaster County.
This property added more than 150 storage units and an additional 23,400 SF of storage to the portfolio, which now stands at 24 locations throughout PA, MD, NJ and NY, and is managed by Investment Real Estate Management, LLC. The property has excellent visibility from the Lititz Pike/Route 501, with a traffic count of 21,000 vehicles daily. Route 501 is the main thoroughfare from Lancaster directly into the town of Lititz and points north.
When asked about the acquisition, Dana Casella, Director of Operations for Investment Real Estate Management, LLC, says, “Expanding into the Lititz area is a great decision for Moove In. We have nine other Lancaster area locations, but we were missing a presence this far north.” She continues, “We have exciting plans for this property and the town of Lititz. The existing motorsports dealership will be torn down and an expansion over 66,000 square feet of storage over three floors will be built, including a new rental office and interior access temperature control storage units. We will also be completing many property improvements such as new perimeter fencing, electronic keypad operated gate and much more to come in 2019!”
Trans-Am Self Storage was built in 1980 and consists of five buildings with traditional drive-up access storage units. The property sits on more than three acres of commercial zoned land. This property was previously operated as Keller Brothers Motorsports, which closed in March of 2018. However, Keller Brothers Family of Dealerships continues to operate several locations in Lititz, Lebanon and Schaefferstown. The self storage business remained opened after the main business closure, operating by appointments for customers.
