How to Get the Most from Your Online Account

Have you set up your Online Account yet? If not, what are you waiting for? There are some very good reasons to do so, plus it’s easy and free. Let’s review how you can get the most out of your online account for your self storage unit.

To get set up, visit our website at moovein.com, then at the top you can click on Make a Payment. Select the correct location where you have your self storage unit. Scroll down to the Login section and select “I’m already renting but need to register my account online”. Simply follow the steps and enter the required information to create your account. Be sure to write down your username and password and keep them somewhere handy in case you forget what they are. If for some reason you do forget your username and password and cannot find where you wrote them down, you can select the option “forgot password” to reset it, or contact your property manager to have your account reset.

Phone number:

Use the same phone number that you used when you signed your rental agreement. If you need to change it, you can do that later, but it must match the information on the rental agreement.

Gate Code:

The gate access code you were issued upon rental. Enter just the numbers, not any of the special characters, like * or #. If you enter symbols, it will error out. If you rented online, you are issued a temporary gate access code at that time – you are also set up for an online account during that process. Once you create your permanent gate access code with your property manager, it will be changed in your online account.

Unit number:

Remember to enter your self storage unit number as it appears on the rental agreement. For example, door 15 is actually 015 or 0015 depending on the location you are storing. You can also find the 4-digit unit number on a receipt or emailed invoice. If you rented online, you will see a “zz” at the end of your unit number. Please note that the “zz” is not part of your unit number.

Email address:

Again, this must be the one that you used when you signed your rental agreement. This can be changed after your account is created. Make sure you enter it correctly and aren’t missing any characters.

Password:

Create a password between 6 and 24 characters and then click “Create”. For your account security, our password should include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number AND one special character. You also don’t want to use any common words or names, any part of your address or your birthdate. Although there are measures in place to keep your online account secure, a password that is hard to guess makes a big difference. These are standard password recommendations across the internet and should be followed.

Once your account is created, you will land on the Welcome Page. Here, you can update your email address or change your password. If you don’t need or want to do that, go ahead and click “continue”.

The next page shows your storage unit(s) by unit number, your paid through date, or any balance that is currently due. If you have multiple units, you can select each one to view this information for each. You can pay your bill online each month at your convenience. You won’t have to write a check, go to the post office, or go out in the rain or cold and drive to the rental office to drop off your payment. While we’ll miss seeing you, we know that many people, myself included, like to pay their monthly bills online, and we’re happy to offer you that option!

Above the “Due today” box is your Payment History; in case you ever need to review that information.

You can even select the autopay option we offer so that your monthly storage rent is automatically charged on the first of each month. At the top of the small column you will see “Billing Info”. Clicking on this will allow you to set up or change your Autopay option for each storage unit. Enter your credit card information and check the “Sign up for Autopay” box at the bottom. If you decide later that you want to turn that off, simply navigate back to this section and uncheck the autopay box to turn it off.

At the center of the page you can click on Facility Map or Terms to review these things. The facility map shows you the layout of the property and where your storage unit is located on site. This is very helpful if you have movers coming to meet you and help you add or remove items from your storage unit. And when you’re finished, at the far right is the Logout button.

If you have any questions about your online account and how to get the most out of it, please contact us or reach out to any of our knowledgeable property managers. And, if you are ready to start using self storage, you can rent a storage unit online 24/7.
