Role of Railroads in the Civil War!
This event holds photographs, documents, and artifacts from the Civil War that tell the importance of Pennsylvania’s railroads during the war between the states. The railroads were one of the major impacts that helped our successes during the war. Check out this second floor gallery exhibition at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania at PA Route 741 East Strasburg, PA 17579. It doesn’t matter if you’re a historian or a scientist, this event will make you want to go back in time to the days of the railroads and see how they worked, but be quick because it’s only until December 30th. What unfolds when a freak snowstorm strands some well-to-do New Yorkers in an Amish farmhouse? One of the funniest, sweetest Christmas stories ever, that’s what! Since the beginning of time, the stars have been a source of mystery and wonder for people all around the world. Cultures from all around the world developed calendars, others predicted future events to help them understand the movements and patterns of the stars and the sky. This show will depict the very different interpretations of astronomical cycles and events, it will also explore Mayan prediction of the end of the world that they expect to occur. Draw a live model in a studio!
For four Wednesday evenings, artists are invited to the Mulberry Art Studios for a 3 hour long drawing class with a live model in a two hour long pose! Bring your art supplies, your imagination and your favorite snacks to share! There are limited easels and taborets for your use, but plenty of chairs and tables! Meet different artists from all around the counties and the model that will spend 3 hours posing for you! This event is only until December 19th, so hurry and bring your brushes, charcoals, pastels, crayons, or anything else you might desire to draw with and join us at 19-21 N. Christmas and Marionettes?
You read that right. Check out a musical adaptation of the Cinderella’s Christmas performed by Robert Brock with marionettes he created. A Bazaar Christmas
